What We Do
medifast products are proudly produced in-house at our Corporate Offices/Production site in Owings Mills, MD. We distribute these products via our company-owned eastern shore Distribution Center in Ridgely, MD. As a manufacturing company, we continually strive to incorporate the latest technology. In December 2006, we added two additional packaging lines to our production/packaging area — allowing our weekly production rate to double. A new state-of-the-art blender allows us to produce even larger batches of product at a single time. Currently, we produce over 50 different products at our Owings Mills plant. Our in-house Product Development department diligently works toward the development of new products. In fact, medifast plans to release 5-6 new products in 2007.
How We Do It
Our 25-seat, state-of-the-art call center located in Owings Mills, MD focuses on medifast product sales, and provides world-class customer service and program support to all medifast customers. Specialized Customer Care team members also provide in-house marketing support, by administering online chat sessions and monitoring interactive message boards. We are dedicated to Customer Care, and are customer-focused in every aspect of our business.
Our Growth
For each of the past five years, medifast successfully doubled in revenue. We’ve recently added nearly 100 new employees. In August 2006, medifast moved from the American Stock Exchange to the New York Stock Exchange (ticker: MED).
Our Spokeswomen
In summer 2007, medifast announced the addition of two celebrity spokeswomen; Genie Francis of General Hospital fame and Kristy Swanson of Buffy the Vampire movie fame. Both women are excited about thier partnership with medifast, Inc.

Take Shape for Life is comprised of a nationwide network of Health Coaches, who use one-on-one relationship marketing to introduce medifast meals and the Take Shape for Life program to prospective clients.
Health Coaches offer medifast Meals along with personal support to help their clients achieve an optimal weight and keep the weight off for life.

medifast Weight Control Centers target a customer in need of accountability and more structured weight loss program. Clinics offer face-to-face customized support and behavior modification counseling. MWCC offers a premium level of personal service to customers and requires payment for these services in addition to products.
Locations
There are currently 5 centers in Dallas and 3 in Orlando. medifast Weight Control Centers is proud to announce the opening of our newest center in GARLAND, TX opening in August 2007! We are planning to open one more new center in Dallas by the end of 2007.

With over 50 different products to choose from, medifast customers can always find what they are looking for. All medifast products are manufactured to exact specifications in our state-of-the-art production facility in Owings Mills, MD. Product labeling, quality control and manufacturing processes and equipment are subject to regulations and inspections mandated by the FDA, Maryland State Department of Health and Hygiene and Baltimore County Department of Health.
